Nepal and Spain established diplomatic relations on May 13, 1968. Nepal and Spain have maintained cordial and friendly relations for a long time. They have become stronger in recent years as a result of high-level visits, mutual understanding of goals and sensitivities, collaboration in international forums, a shared stance on global issues, and a dedication to world peace and harmony. Nepal imports chemicals, synthetic, woollen, and polyester blankets, electrical products, and cooking equipment from Spain. Goatskin, incense sticks, leather goods, woollen carpets, handicrafts, clothing, and Nepalese paper and paper products are also popular exports to Spain.
