On May 13, 1968, Nepal and Spain established diplomatic relations. Nepal and Spain have long had warm and amicable relations. They have become stronger in recent years, owing to the exchange of visits at all levels, appreciation of each other's goals and sensitivities, collaboration in international forums, a shared stance on global concerns, and a commitment to world peace and harmony. Chemicals, synthetic, woolen, and polyester blankets, electrical items, and culinary equipment are among Nepal's imports from Spain. Likewise, Goatskin, incense sticks, leather items, woolen carpets, handicrafts, clothing, and Nepalese paper and paper products are among the most important exports to Spain. Nepal received 641 kg of veterinary vaccinations from Spain in 2021. The entire import value was Rs. 10,584 thousand.
