Since the establishment of diplomatic relations on April 20, 1949, Nepal and France have had excellent bilateral relations. Since then, Nepal-France relations have been characterized by enormous warmth, trust, and mutual respect on both sides. Passport printing, hotels, medicine, aluminum goods, and other areas of French investment are among them. Nepal imports machinery and parts, industrial raw materials, aircraft, and spare parts, telecommunications equipment, vaccinations, scientific research equipment, etc, from France. The import value is higher than the export value. Nepal purchased 368 kg of vaccines for human medicine from France, with an import value of 20,407 thousand rupees in 2020-21, according to the Ministry of Finance.
