WorldLink is Nepal's largest Internet and Network Service Provider, as well as one of the country's most famous IT firms. In September 1995, the company was founded to offer Internet and IT services. WorldLink began by offering store-and-forward email services through a dial-up connection to the Internet in the United States. The company's ongoing efforts to expand prompted it to provide full Internet connectivity through a dedicated leased line to the Internet backbone in the United States via Teleglobe International. After two years of this service, WorldLink linked to the Internet through a direct satellite uplink via its VSAT terminal, totally bypassing Nepal Telecommunications Corporation. Now, WorldLink is no less than a silicon valley startup success story but in Kathmandu Valley. WorldLink presently has over 2.1 million customers and has expanded to 73 districts across Nepal by 2020. WorldLink's IP version is IPv6, which is the most recent and secure version of IP. With the advent of 5G connection, they also provide NETTV services to consumers. Fiber Optics cables are used for transmission (FTTH) and offer plans of 20 Mbps, 30 Mbps, 40 Mbps, 50 Mbps, 60 Mbps, and 80 Mbps internet speed.
