Rajendra Kumar Khetan, born in Kathmandu, is a prominent industrialist with interests in mining, consumer goods such as beverages and foodstuffs, insurance, banking/financial services, telecommunications, information technology, real estate, and energy. Khetan, the eldest son of late entrepreneur Mohan Gopal Khetan, is now a part-owner of a 170-year-old family-owned business that split with the Khetan Group. He has also received honorific orders. Honorary Consul of Portugal, President of Nepal Britain Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Alliance Française Kathmandu. Among the other 12 identities, he was Vice President of FNCCI and Chairman of Laxmi Bank. With a net worth of around USD 150-500 million, Rajendra bagged a prominent position in the list of richest Nepalese. Khetan Group is a well-known group of companies leading to beverage manufacturing and trading.
